Charlotte Dualé

Charlotte Dualé’s work deals with notions of function and dysfunction, allowing space for both polarities. Using tiles as a medium to create “functional sculptures or furnitures with sculptural elements”, the artist creates site specific interventions using kitchen elements or bookshelves and lamps.

The piece on view is a site specific bookshelf in the artist’s apartment produced using 208 handmade tiles. 31 of these tiles present sculptural elements that are functional for different uses of the library.

The artist’s work is available as a site specific commission via collaboration with “a Piece of Furniture”. For project consideration or specific requests feel free to get in touch with us.
