This twin bin by Philipp Modersohn plays with the conventional notion of waste and its hiding away: the transparency of the container puts its content on display, while its filling/emptying generates an ever-changing sculpture. The melted plastic recalls baroque decoration, at variance with the two functional recycling compartments. The sections merge in the center, their forms relying on one another as two halves of one whole. This bin lends trash attitude.
